Lillian, Owen and TayioSol (a long term friend of mine who's an exceptionally talented digital and practical artist) are working to turn inspirations into a true wide-form high resolution-image for the upcoming deskpad.

 

A unique challeng is that the image ought to have a resolution of ~12dpmm (dots per mm, ~300dpi) in order to be sublimated onto the deskpad surface adequately. However for a surface area of 900mm x 400mm the final image will need to be 10748px wide and 4843px tall!

 

This is the first time TayioSol has attempted creating an image of this scale and intricate detail, so to ensure she has maximal control we're providing some references and giving her the freedom to place and adjust them however she wishes.
